Descriptions
Medium green, glossy leaves are heart-shaped with a wrinkled leaf texture.

Propagation
Cut below the node, ensure retains at least 2 leaves. Place cutting in water, ensuring node is below water surface. Wait to root.
Lighting
Shade tolerant. Grows best in full or partial sun. At least 4 hours of indirect sunlight.
Soil & Watering
Water if soil is dry, dip fingers 5cm in soil,. if dry water. They are vulnerable to root rot, so ensure media is well draining and contains organic matter for roots to breathe.
Cooking
Brazilian Spinach Egg Drop Soup
Ingredients
600ml chicken/veg/fish stock
10gm ginger, julienned
10gm garlic, minced
60gm Brazilian Spinach (about 2 large handfuls)
1 tsp chicken powder or salt to taste
1/2 tsp light soy sauce
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 Tbsp oil
Instructions
Sauté garlic and ginger in oil till fragrant. Add stock and bring to a boil. Add Brazilian spinach and bring to a boil for about a minute. Season with chicken powder/ salt to taste. Slowly drizzle the beaten egg in as you swirl the soup. Serve hot.
Optional
When the stock is boiling, other ingredients can be added, such as fishballs, tofu and prawns.

Stir Fried Brazilian Spinach With Sesame Seeds
Ingredients
cooking oil,
garlic crushed and chopped,
spinach washed and cut,
sesame seeds,
dill tips optional,
hot water,
oyster sauce,
fish sauce,
Chinese cooking wine 1/2 tspn only
Instructions
Heat the pan, add cooking oil when the pan is heated. Add in Garlic and toss. When the garlic turns golden, add the spinach. Stir well. Add water. Season with fish sauce and oyster sauce.
Cover the dish. Add in the dill tips and the Chinese cooking wine.
Sprinkle with some sesame seeds.
