Urban farming is a growing trend in schools across Singapore. It involves teaching children how to grow plants on rooftops, balconies and even in containers. This helps teach kids about the importance of eating fresh produce and encourages them to think about where their food comes from.

3 Steps to be a Urban Farm Expert

Urban Farming & Sustainability is a hands-on experience where students will get to know the process of urban farming and how it relates to our environment. They will also learn about the role of farmers and the importance of sustainable agriculture. Students will visit rooftop farms and see how food is grown and harvested. They will also meet the people who grow and harvest the food.

Agritisan’s “Food-Pod” Growing Tower is an agriculture-grade system that yields up to 3 times that of comparative outdoor planting systems. Agritisan’s towers utilise a nutrient film technique (NFT) to grow plants . Each tower consists of 6 sides and a total of 432 plant holes per tower. The panels can be taken down easily with the release of a catch for transplanting and harvesting work to be easily done.
